Trading Signals

How do btccampus signals work?

Signals are rule-based technical analysis over live 1-hour exchange candles:

  • Trend: EMA 9/21/50 alignment and slope
  • Momentum: MACD cross and histogram, RSI(14) context
  • Volatility & Volume: Bollinger position, ATR(14) and volume confirmation
  • Risk & News: A market risk layer and an AI news filter that can veto any coin

Each candidate gets a 0–100 strength score and a confidence value; confidence under 50 is never traded, and strength decides how much leverage the trade is allowed.

How many signals do I receive?

There is no fixed number — and that is the point. The engine scans every 5 minutes but only acts when a candidate survives every gate, within your own limits:

  • Volatile markets: more qualifying setups, more trades
  • Quiet or hostile markets: the engine can go long stretches doing nothing — by design

Your max-trades-per-day and max-open-positions settings always have the final say.

Which cryptocurrencies do you cover?

We currently provide signals for major cryptocurrency pairs including:

  • BTC/USDT, ETH/USDT, BNB/USDT
  • SOL/USDT, XRP/USDT, ADA/USDT
  • DOGE/USDT, AVAX/USDT, DOT/USDT
  • And 20+ other high-liquidity pairs

We focus on coins with sufficient liquidity to ensure smooth execution without significant slippage.

How will I be notified of new signals?

You are notified through these channels:

  • iOS push notifications: Position opened, position closed with its PnL, and daily-limit alerts — straight to your iPhone via the btccampus app
  • Live Activity: Open positions and PnL on your Lock Screen and Dynamic Island
  • Dashboard: In-app and web notification feed with every engine decision
Can I follow signals manually without auto-trade?

Yes, absolutely. Auto-trade is completely optional. Many users prefer to:

  • Review each signal manually before acting
  • Adjust position sizes based on their own analysis
  • Use signals as confirmation for their own strategies

Each signal provides all the information you need (entry, targets, stop-loss) to execute trades manually on any exchange.

Auto-Trade

How does auto-trade work?

Auto-trade connects to your exchange via API and automatically executes trades based on our signals:

  • Signal Generated: Our system identifies a trading opportunity
  • Order Placed: Entry order is placed on your exchange account
  • Risk Management: Stop-loss and take-profit orders are set automatically
  • Position Managed: The system monitors and closes the position at target or stop

You configure your risk settings (position size, max daily trades, etc.) and the system operates within those boundaries.

Which exchanges are supported for auto-trade?

Auto-trade works through the official APIs of major exchanges, using a trade-only API key on your own account — we never hold your funds and withdrawals are never enabled.

The current list of connectable exchanges is always shown on the Exchanges page in your dashboard. We're actively adding more; if you'd like to request a specific exchange, let us know through support.

Can I track my portfolio and wallets too?

Yes. The Portfolio screen combines your exchange balances with watch-only wallets on Bitcoin, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Solana and TRON — you just paste a public address, no keys needed. Major tokens (including stablecoins like USDT) are detected automatically with live prices.

You can also watch any wallet with Whale Alerts: pick a famous wallet from the built-in directory or paste any address, set a USD threshold, and get a push notification whenever it moves more than that amount.

Can I stop auto-trade at any time?

Yes, instantly. You have multiple ways to stop auto-trade:

  • Dashboard Toggle: One-click disable from your btccampus dashboard
  • Delete API Keys: Remove your API keys from btccampus
  • Exchange Side: Revoke the API key directly from your exchange settings

All methods take effect immediately. No waiting period, no confirmation needed.

Can I control position sizes and leverage?

You have full control. In your auto-trade settings, you can configure:

  • Position Size: Fixed amount or percentage of balance per trade
  • Max Leverage: Set your maximum leverage cap
  • Daily Loss Limit: Auto-pause if daily losses exceed a threshold
  • Max Open Positions: Limit concurrent trades
  • Coin Filters: Only trade specific coins if desired

The system will never exceed your configured limits.

Security & API

Is it safe to connect my exchange API?

Yes, with proper permissions. Here's why:

  • No Withdrawal Access: We require API keys WITHOUT withdrawal permission. This is technically impossible for anyone to move your funds.
  • Trade-Only: We only need trading and read permissions
  • Your Funds Stay on Exchange: We never have custody of your assets

Even in a worst-case breach scenario, attackers could not withdraw your funds because the API physically lacks that capability.

How are my API keys protected?

We use multiple layers of security:

  • AES-256 Encryption: Bank-grade encryption for all stored credentials
  • Isolated Storage: API keys stored in a separate, hardened database
  • No Plaintext Logging: Keys are never logged or visible in plaintext
  • Secure Execution: Trade execution happens in isolated containers

Read more on our Auto-Trade Safety page.

What API permissions do you need?

Required permissions:

  • Spot/Futures Trading - To execute trades
  • Read Account Info - To check balances and positions

Must be DISABLED:

  • Withdrawals - Never enable this
  • Internal Transfers - Not needed

We will reject API keys that have withdrawal permissions enabled.

Can I use IP whitelisting for extra security?

Yes, and we recommend it. You can whitelist our server IPs in your exchange API settings for an additional layer of security. This ensures your API key only works from our servers.

Contact support to get our current server IP addresses for whitelisting.

Performance & Results

What is your signal win rate?

We don't advertise a win-rate number — any fixed percentage would be marketing, not math. Win rate moves with market conditions, and it isn't the number that matters anyway.

What matters is expectancy: the engine enforces a minimum 2:1 reward-to-risk on every trade, so even well below 50% wins the process can stay profitable — and your daily loss limit caps the bad days.

Your own results — every trade, win or loss, exchange-sourced — are on your dashboard, and that is the only performance number that means anything.

Do you guarantee profits?

No. No one can guarantee profits in trading.

Anyone who promises guaranteed returns is either lying or doesn't understand markets. Cryptocurrency trading is inherently risky, and past performance does not guarantee future results.

We provide tools and analysis to help inform your decisions, but all trading outcomes are your responsibility.

Can I see your historical track record?

Yes — your own. Your dashboard and the iOS app show:

  • Every trade with its real fill, close reason (TP / SL / liquidation) and PnL
  • Exchange-sourced statistics — not estimates, not marketing numbers
  • A PnL chart over time, plus per-coin breakdowns
  • A reset button, so you can start a clean scorecard whenever you like

We publish no aggregate track record — the only performance that matters is the one on your own account.

What happens during losing streaks?

Losing streaks are a normal part of trading. No system wins 100% of the time. Here's how we handle them:

  • Built-in Risk Management: Each signal has defined stop-losses
  • Position Sizing: No single trade risks too much capital
  • Daily Loss Limits: Auto-trade can pause if losses exceed your threshold

The key is surviving drawdowns with capital intact to benefit from the next winning period.

Risk & Disclaimers

Can I lose money using btccampus?

Yes, you can lose money. This is true for all trading, regardless of the tools or signals you use.

Cryptocurrency markets are volatile. Prices can move against you quickly, especially with leverage. Never trade with money you can't afford to lose.

Read our Risk Disclosure for comprehensive information.

Is btccampus financial advice?

No. btccampus does not provide financial advice.

Our signals are informational tools based on technical and sentiment analysis. We are not licensed financial advisors. You should:

  • Do your own research before any trade
  • Consult a licensed financial advisor for personalized advice
  • Only trade with funds you can afford to lose
How risky is trading with leverage?

Leverage significantly amplifies both gains AND losses.

  • 10x leverage: A 10% price move = 100% gain OR 100% loss
  • 25x leverage: A 4% price move = 100% liquidation risk

We recommend:

  • Using low leverage (2-5x maximum) if you're not experienced
  • Always setting stop-losses
  • Never risking more than 1-2% of your portfolio per trade
Who is responsible for my trading losses?

You are responsible for your own trading decisions and outcomes.

btccampus provides tools and information, but the decision to trade—and how much to risk—is entirely yours. We do not:

  • Compensate for trading losses
  • Guarantee any specific outcomes
  • Manage your funds or make decisions on your behalf

By using our service, you accept full responsibility for your trading activities.
